Profession of Faith and Baptism: Upon receiving Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord and following Him in baptism by immersion, we welcome you to our family.

Transfer of Letter: As a Baptist whose church membership is elsewhere, should God lead you to unite with us, we will be happy to welcome you into our Church Family and take care of the appropriate details for transferring your membership.

Statement of Faith: In the event that church membership records are not available for transfer of membership, or if you were once a member of a Baptist church or were baptized by immersion into a church of “like faith and order,” we will gladly receive you upon your statement of these conditions.

Baptism From Another Denomination: In the event you have never been baptized by immersion and you know in your heart that you have made a personal commitment of your life to Jesus Christ and want to become a member of First Baptist Church, we invite you to join by baptism. This gives testimony of your salvation by following Christ’s example in baptism.

Invitation: You are invited to respond to any of the above by coming forward during the invitation at the close of each worship service. Any decision assumes your willingness to be faithful in prayer and participation in our Lord’s work at First Baptist. The Pastor will be at the front to receive you and pray with you regarding any of the afore-mentioned avenues of membership.

Advance Meeting: If God has led you to unite with our church family the Pastor would like to meet with you prior to you responding to the invitation. This provides an opportunity for him to answer any questions you may have about our church and also affords him the opportunity to get to know you better. Please call our office to schedule a meeting with our Pastor. Sometimes the Spirit of God leads a person to unite with our church family during the invitation who did not previously plan to join that day. Do not hesitate in responding to the invitation as our Pastor will gladly receive you at the altar on the spur of the moment.

A New Members Class is required for all new members to assist you in finding your place of ministry in our church family.
