Mike Barber has served as Minister of Music of First Baptist Church Homosassa since November of 2012.  He has served as Minister of Music and Associate Pastor at churches in Florida, Mississippi and Georgia. Mike holds a Bachelor in Music from Baptist College of Florida and a Master of Arts in Worship Ministries from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Jeannie, married in 1993 and they have one daughter, Michaela. Mike is a native Floridian from Spring Hill.  Mike's life verse is Romans 12:11. Mike defines worship as "Loving God and living a holy life."

Born in north Georgia, Troy Allen was abducted to the frozen north of Massachusetts where he vowed to someday return to the beautiful south.  He moved to Florida in 1991 shortly after marrying the lady of his dreams, Stacey. There God gifted him with a full quiver of awesome kids, Anastasia, Logan, Luke and Eve.  It is a well known fact that his kids first initial spells out his last name minus one.  Faced with the prospect of providing an "N" he adopted a dog and named him Nibbles.

In 1996 a friend took him to a Promise Keepers event.  It was there that he was saved by faith and has been developing his relationship with God ever since.

Several years later God called him to work with the children and youth at FBC Homosassa.  He has taught Sunday School, ministered as a Deacon and served 14 years as Commander of our AWANA program.  A few years back an opportunity to serve as Director of Student Ministries was extended. He accepted but prefers to be called "the youth group guy" as you can get away will all sorts of nonsense that way.

Ever praying to always be young at heart, all the while growing mature in Christ. His life verse is...

1 Corinthians 9:26-27

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

So fight I.

Kimberly Clark - Church Secretary

Kimberly, her husband Michael and their son Christopher moved to Florida from North Carolina in 2009, after Michael retired from the Air Force. Kimberly had spent several years working as the Vice President of a sporting goods company when she decided to take the opportunity to switch gears and stay home to homeschool her son. Now that Christopher is taking high school and college courses, she has been blessed with being able to return to work here at First Baptist Church, where she enjoys managing the office, assisting church members and helping members of the community.
